None! Our lessons are created to suit your individual skill level and pace that you learn. So even if you’ve never danced a step in your life, our beginner program is the perfect introduction to the world of dance. If you’ve done a little dancing before, we also offer intermediate and advanced programs to suit your level of ability.
At Arthur Murray, we're famous for making learning to dance easy and, more importantly – fun! We teach 4 simple basic movements that form the foundation for all other steps. And we tailor our lessons to suit your skill level, so you’ll never feel overwhelmed.
At Arthur Murray Crows Nest we offer a range of dance programs to suit your individual needs. We'll design a tailored program for you based on your interests, what you would like to get out of dancing, the number of dances you'd like to learn, how often you'd like a lesson and the level you would like to achieve.

We can schedule your lessons based around your availability. Our Studio is open Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm.
All of our dance experts must complete a very rigorous training regimen used worldwide in 270 Arthur Murray Dance Studios. They’re experienced on the dance floor and experts in all of the techniques that will help you master dancing. Rest assured that the instructors selected for you are the best and most passionate in the business.
Everyone learns at a different pace, and every dance style differs in complexity, so it’s impossible to give you a specific time-frame. What we can tell you is that after every single lesson, you’ll remember more moves than before and improve with each and every lesson! And, If you come along to all of the Group Classes and Practice Parties, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you pick things up!
It’s best to dress in comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Wear shoes that don't slip off your feet and try to avoid shoes like runners, with heavy rubber soles (you'll stick to the floor!). After you’ve had a few lessons or completed the beginner program, you might decide to invest in a pair of dance shoes. Have a chat with your teacher, they can advise the best type of shoes for men and women and where to buy them from.
Private lessons and group classes run for approximately 45 minutes each.
We offer dance programs to suit all levels of ability! We offer intermediate and advanced dance programs and will tailor our lessons to suit your level of skill. If you're interested in dancing competitively, we have competitions all-year round – there's always something on at Arthur Murray Crows Nest!
Most of our students come in once a week for their lesson, but we have some students that come in a few times a week. It's totally up to you! Outside of your regular lesson, make sure you come in for all of the Group Classes and Practice Parties. Not only will you meet new people and make friends, you’ll get to practice everything you’ve been learning.

The are over 270 Arthur Murray Dance Studios all around the world and we've been teaching students how to dance for more than 100 years! Our proven methods and dance programs have been tried and tested since Arthur Murray himself first started to teach dancing in 1912. We also hire the very best dance instructors around, putting them through a rigorous training program making sure they have the skills they need to teach you.
