Social dancing is real world dancing. It’s all about having fun, meeting new people and having the confidence to ask anyone... anywhere to dance!
Never danced a day in your life? Have two left feet? At Arthur Murray Crows Nest, we make learning to dance easy. More importantly, we make it fun. Whatever your reasons are for stepping out there on the dance floor - a special event, cruise, wedding - we'll tailor our lessons to suit your experience and dance goals. You can learn as a couple or a single student - so don't be shy if you don't have a partner!
Why wait... Your first lesson is free!
If you've ever wondered what we're all about, drop by for a free lesson and chat to our friendly staff who will answer any questions you might have. There's no catch, just come in and find out what we're all about.
If we light a little fire under your shoes after your free lesson and you decide dancing is something you're interested in pursuing, we'll start you on an introductory program.
The aim of this initial program is twofold. Firstly, it's designed to introduce you to the world of dance and to life within our Studio, giving you the chance on a short-term basis to experience how we teach, what it's like to learn, what the dances are all about and what the atmosphere is like within an Arthur Murray Dance Studio.
Secondly, it gives your teachers the opportunity to find out a little more about you, why you came into our Studio, what your goals are and what you're looking to achieve from your dancing. Your teachers will also spend a great deal of time in figuring out how you learn and what’s important to you, so should you continue on with Arthur Murray Dance Studios, they can design the next stage of your dancing that's specifically catered for who you are and what you're looking to get out of dancing.
At Arthur Murray Crows Nest, we have social dancing evenings and events all throughout the year giving you the opportunity to practice your new skills and dance the night away outside the official classroom setting.
There are also regular group classes held throughout the week. The classes are held according to skill level, so you're always in an environment with other people at your stage of learning. They're a great reinforcement to what you're learning on your lessons and their main focus is to get you used to dancing with other students, as opposed to your teacher or partner.
Arthur Murray is geared towards social dancing, so learning to dance, to lead and to follow with anyone, is a fundamental part of your learning experience.
